Americans will be voting for their next President in a few weeks. The results will change the course of history. I am not an American. I am a Filipino living in South Korea. But my mother is a Filipino who is now an American citizen. I sell pre-loved luxury bags and ship them to the US. I have a lot of family and friends who live there. I invest in stocks that are greatly affected by the economy of the United States. In one way or another, the U.S. elections will have an effect on me and my family. The whole world will be greatly affected by this crucial event that happens every four years.

Since I am not a U.S. citizen, I will not be able to cast a vote but there is one thing I can do \u2013 to pray. Here is my prayer.

I pray that the elections and the casting of votes in all states will be peaceful, safe and fair.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I ask for protection upon the candidates and their families throughout the campaign season. I also declare protection upon the electorate as they cast their votes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I pray that Americans will have wisdom and discernment to choose a godly leader, one who leads with integrity and righteousness.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I declare that the one who will lead the U.S. in the next four years is one who will set aside his own agenda and selfish ambitions and think about the welfare of his people.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I claim that the next leader of this great nation will be the one who has a listening ear and a kind heart to be able to address the pressing issues of the nation such as poverty and injustice and stand with the marginalized and oppressed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I pray that the next leader\u2019s heart will be one that flows with mercy, compassion and love for the diverse people of America.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I declare healing upon the nation of America, not just from the pandemic but also from division, persecution and oppression.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I speak that the Americans will learn to love and respect one another despite their differences and disagreements.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I pray that the coming elections will have a positive effect on the poor, the migrants and refugees, those who are sick and hungry, jobless and homeless, those who are unborn and whose lives are not valued.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I am in faith that the coming U.S. elections will affect not just America but the whole world in a good way.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I trust that our prayers avail much. I believe that as people unite in prayer for the elections, great things are going to happen. As we seek God at this time, I am hopeful the people will begin to see a silver lining and have hope in the midst of a seemingly bleak future.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On November 3rd and the succeeding days, all eyes will be on America. It is my hope that its people will vote wisely.  God bless America!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
