{"id":6245,"date":"2021-02-20T05:34:06","date_gmt":"2021-02-20T15:34:06","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/thefilipinochronicle.com\/backup\/?p=6245"},"modified":"2021-02-20T05:35:56","modified_gmt":"2021-02-20T15:35:56","slug":"hawaii-residents-encouraged-to-apply-for-health-insurance-during-bidens-special-enrollment-period","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/thefilipinochronicle.com\/backup\/2021\/02\/20\/hawaii-residents-encouraged-to-apply-for-health-insurance-during-bidens-special-enrollment-period\/","title":{"rendered":"Hawaii Residents Encouraged to Apply for Health Insurance During Biden\u2019s Special Enrollment Period"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>The Department of Commerce and Consumer Affairs is encouraging residents to visit <a href=\"http:\/\/HealthCare.gov\">HealthCare.gov<\/a> to enroll in a health insurance, following President Joe Biden\u2019s Executive Order of Special Enrollment Period (SEP) for Health Insurance Marketplace coverage.<br><br>\u201cAs we continue to tackle this pandemic, it is more critical than ever to ensure that Hawaii\u2019s uninsured and underinsured have access to affordable healthcare,\u201d said Insurance Commissioner Colin Hayashida.&nbsp;<br><br>\u201cThis special enrollment period allows individuals and families a chance to get comprehensive health insurance coverage if they qualify.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>From February 15 to May 15, SEP will be available on the website in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.
