AARP Hawaii Expands Tools For Veterans To Access Health Care

According to a RAND study, nearly 60% of all veterans are eligible for U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) healthcare services however only half of those eligible are using their health benefits, according to a RAND study.

To help veterans, military families and their caregivers navigate VA health options, AARP Hawaii launched an updated version of the Veterans and Military Families Health Benefits Navigator. The navigator also provides information on eligibility requirements in order to receive healthcare benefits from the VA.

The programs and services included in the AARP Veterans and Military Families Health Benefits Navigator include Women Veterans Health Care Program, Specialty Emotional and Mental Health Services, Specialty Dental, Oral, Hearing and Vision Services, and Family Caregiver Assistance Program.
