Does HealthCare.gov offer affordable health coverage?
Due to a new law, the Inflation Reduction Act, a majority of customers enrolled through HealthCare.gov continue to have access to affordable premiums that help lower costs for individuals and families. In fact, 4 out of 5 HealthCare.gov customers can find a plan for $10 or less per month with financial help.
What you pay is based on your age, your family size, your household income, where you live, what plan you choose, and other factors. Some people may find they qualify for coverage in their state’s Medicaid or Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP) and can be connected to these options through HealthCare.gov.
Are quality health plans available?
Plans available on HealthCare.gov offer a wide range of benefits and comprehensive coverage. All health plans are provided by well-known, private insurance companies, ensuring quality care for all those enrolled. Plans cover essential health benefits, including preventive services like annual checkups, hospitalizations, prescriptions drugs, birth control, doctor’s visits, emergency care, and more. All plans at HealthCare.gov are prohibited from excluding coverage based on preexisting conditions. Should I update an existing plan?
Even if you’ve shopped for coverage at HealthCare.gov in the past, it’s time to come back to review this year’s new plans and prices. Every year, health insurance plan options change in cost, coverage, and participating providers, which is why it is important for customers who are currently enrolled to come back to HealthCare.gov to compare plans as they may find something that better meets their needs.
