2022 Elections Candidate Filing Is Now Open

Individuals interested to serve the community in a governmental level can now file their candidacy for the 2022 Elections.

The candidate filing opened on March 1 and will run through June 7, 2022.

Interested elective office candidates must complete and file their nomination form to appear on the ballot.

To be eligible to file candidacy, one of the requirements for the individual is to collect signatures from a minimum number of voters in the district office they are running for.

Candidate filling is open for the following offices:

– U.S. Senate
– Governor
– Lieutenant Governor
– Office of Hawaiian Affairs Trustee, Hawaii Resident Trustee, vacancy
– Office of Hawaiian Affairs Trustee, Maui Resident Trustee
– Office of Hawaiian Affairs Trustee, Oahu Resident Trustee
– Office of Hawaiian Affairs Trustee, At-Large
– County of Hawaii, Councilmember
– County of Maui, Mayor
– County of Maui, Councilmember
– County of Kauai, Mayor
– County of Kauai, Councilmember
– City & County of Honolulu, Councilmember

The 2022 Primary Election will be held on August 13 and the General Election on November 8, 2022.
